The link to my web space; the video is added from the image simply because the video would not upload onto the space.  Pity.

Lauren's Google Doodle

Lauren's Ball Point Pen Day!
This project really challenged my computer skills which are quite sub par, but that's what makes me so happy to have taken the project this far.
My only regret is not being able to add my music, which would have been the intro to "Travlin' All Alone" (just the intro) by Billie Holiday. This was my initial intention and I feel it works well even with the "old'timey" feel I had to adopt due to my video uncontrollably bouncing around.

This was a good, but sometimes painful, learning experience for sure :)

My Process for the Google Doodle.

I scanned my image using the scanner that I have at home. I then put that file into Illustrator to vector it and create my 4 scenes.

This is the vector that I got from live trace. I will create a layer underneath and create "color shapes".

I colored the image using the blob tool so that I can then replace colors using panels as the colored areas turn into shapes that are easier to edit.

After hours of coloring I finally created the first frame of my animation. I played around with the colors and I think this coloring is really good. It is dark, but it is not muddy or dirty. The colors here also have a very nice contrast that makes the eyes and the open door glow.

The four frames now complete. I am satisfied with the way that they look and I just need to put it into flash to create a sort of movie. Then I just need to create the web page.

E3

http://webspace.ocad.ca/~db11lm/

I decided to do my google doodle on the gaming event E3.
The Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly known as E3, is an annual trade fare for the  computer and video games industry presented by the Entertainment software association (ESA). It is used by many video game developers to show off their upcoming games and game-related hardware.

This is my final Pillsbury Dough Boy Google Doodle.
I had a lot of fun making this. Originally it was going to be a stop-motion animation video, but I changed it to a flash video. I did work with both flash and stop-motion animation before, but I still had to go back and review how to do it because I forgot most of it. I actually took a lot more photos than I used and needed, which is alright. This version uploaded on the blog is not as good as my final copy on my computer and I don't know why. But I had to get it up, I'll play the on my computer for others to see during class.

I fixed it! this is the ultra good copy http://webspace.ocad.ca/%7Emt11hj/ (thanks Polina)

Google Doodle - Final

My Google doodle is by no means near perfection, nor is it animated like I had intended it to be, but with time constraints on my part this is the best I can do. In any case, it would appear that you have to zoom in to see things properly, otherwise the image slices make the entire thing look odd. Most of it has been image mapped so it'll take you to a new link. All of my process work can be found by clicking on Google.
So here's the final! Not quite done to perfection... in my mind at least.  Didn't end up doing anything remotely spectacular with it, music or animation wise, but I did add a few things.  The party hats, first of all, but I also lengthened the canvas as to allow for the tail of Jabba to be seen, and not cut off :) Here's my webspace -http://webspace.ocad.ca/~nr11gf/googledoodle.html

Ok so I shall upload my recent process work.
I demonstrated the first part of what I was doing in class, it was where I
was showing you guys the ink and water. I took screen shots of the video I am
working on and that is taking me ages.

I put it on the ground in the learning zone and put the camera above it and started working.
I added water first.
I tried using 3 different materials. Normal paper didn't work for sure because it obsorbed the water really quick.
The second one was a Bristol board, and it was too watery so that did not work as well.
Lastlty, I tried the same board I used in class when I was showing you guys.
I tried adding colours to each and different watery colour but that did not end up doing much and it ended up being a chaos.
As I mentioned when in class, it shall be google day about Art!
So my plan is to put the video backwards.
I ended up ruining the piece with my hands and adding different google colours and splash it on the word.
Here are some Screen-shots:

Wilfred's Google Doodle Final

http://webspace.ocad.ca/~wc11kh/

heres the link! now for the description!!
this is the google doodle for Japan's girls day celebration. I have chose to use the cherry blossom flowers with a girl in the kimono to represent this. This is because this day is usually happen when the cherry blossom blooms and the girls will dress in kimono for this celebration. As a improvement from my roughs, i have made the girl smaller, now just showing the head and making the hair L shaped so it is easier to define as the letter L. enjoy
