My Process for the Google Doodle.

I scanned my image using the scanner that I have at home. I then put that file into Illustrator to vector it and create my 4 scenes.

This is the vector that I got from live trace. I will create a layer underneath and create "color shapes".

I colored the image using the blob tool so that I can then replace colors using panels as the colored areas turn into shapes that are easier to edit.

After hours of coloring I finally created the first frame of my animation. I played around with the colors and I think this coloring is really good. It is dark, but it is not muddy or dirty. The colors here also have a very nice contrast that makes the eyes and the open door glow.

The four frames now complete. I am satisfied with the way that they look and I just need to put it into flash to create a sort of movie. Then I just need to create the web page.
