Fini

This project gave me the opportunity to learn things, that to someone like me, I believed to be beyond my abilities; and while they still largely are, I've still learned something the I can be proud of knowing. As I stated in my last post, my chosen day is La Fête Nationale in France, what is known in English speaking countries as Bastille Day. The day officially marks the day when the commoners of France stormed the Bastille, a prison in which the nobility detained those of unfavourable political opinion. The French Revolution is one of, if not the most, important event in western history, but I love it as a subject the way I do mostly because of how the people of France totally forgot what the word overkill meant. This project also let me mess with what had always felt untouchable; the Google homepage. It felt like I was reworking the bible.

If my link that I attempted to make on the page doesn't work, and you want to get a better sense on the holiday; Wikipedia knows way more about it than me.
