Earth Day!

Final Post

As one of my preliminary sketches; this concept worked out quite well and I am pleased with the result. I was just sketching away for my rough work and this was just one of those ideas that just hits you in the face, and you say 'Genius!’ . Also when the class thought the idea was also strong it convinced me that this idea was the one. Working through it I had problems here and there with the coding and tweening, but I compromised in places and worked through. Basically within the doodle it is a smoggy, dirty world, which then transformed into a beautiful nature scene. The fun thing is that the smokestack turns into the trunk of the tree, showing that everything is connected. In a whole this piece shows that it is not too late keep the earth clean and anyone can make a difference. The interactive portion of the animation comes in when you mouse over the leaves they will rustle in the wind and if you click on them they will fall, to make them grow again just mouse over the fallen leaf. From the last time everyone has seen it I added another type of leaf and fixed the falling animations. Also, I took out the smaller smokestack and faded the background to white. In the end I like how it came out and am pleased with my first stab at interactivity, I find myself just sitting in my room clicking the leafs when I was testing it. Haha
